I have been working at my current job for three years, which is a long time for me as I don’t usually work for more than a year at any place. The reason I have stayed at this job is that it has a lot to offer, after just a year I got a promotion and a pay rise.

Last week at my annual review, I was told that I am a valued and trusted employee with the determination to accomplish anything thrown at me. I felt proud within myself after hearing that from my manager, it made me want to work even harder.

As the meeting was about to finish, my manager said something that totally shocked me so much so that I almost stopped breathing. The company were offering me the manager’s post with a place to live and a pay rise, not in our office but the second branch which is in Spain.

They gave me a few days to think about it, I didn’t need time as I already decided to go. I’m a single girl living with my parents so there was nothing to stop me from going, I also know my parents will be overjoyed at how much I have achieved in such little time.

The very next day, I gave my answer which made my manager very happy, so as soon as all the paperwork is sorted I will be leaving to join the new branch.
